Cambridge Design Partnership (CDP) will exhibit its cutting-edge wearable device, the First Response Monitor at Innovate 2015, the UK’s largest innovation show. CDP was one of the successful companies selected to showcase an innovative idea or product at the event, which aims to bring together over 3,000 of the UK’s most pioneering businesses to network and meet international partners and global investors.
The First Response Monitor, developed by CDP, is designed to help medics save the lives of multiple trauma casualties in disasters or battlefield situations. Measuring both respiratory and heart rate via a small device that clips onto a casualty’s nose, the monitor gives ‘at a glance’ readings of both parameters. It can also collect and transmit the information to a mobile device in real time, enabling the medic to review trends of multiple casualties and thereby provide more effective care. The company is actively developing further applications for the technology in areas such as civilian first aid, sleep monitoring, sports & wellness and for low resource settings.
Innovate UK Chief Executive Ruth McKernan, said: “Cambridge Design Partnership is a deserved winner and joins a prestigious group of 100 top innovators showcasing their products at Innovate 2015. With attendees ranging from international investors, buyers and visionary entrepreneurs to government and academia, the showcase is a great platform for winning companies.”
James Baker, David Lewis and Tom Lawrie-Fussey from Cambridge Design Partnership will be attending the event on 9th and 10th November at Old Billingsgate in London. If you would like to meet with the team, please contact CDP on 01223 264428 or email email@example.com
