Innovative technology and design consultancy Cambridge Design Partnership today announced that it is a finalist in this year’s prestigious Design Week awards. The company is in the running for the ‘Design Team of the Year’ category in what judges described as arguably the best shortlist to date.

The awards, which are in their 24th year, champion the best of the best in design across the world and across all disciplines, with previous big name winners including Nike, British Airways and Apple.

The Design Team of the Year Award aims to recognise the most consistently high-achieving design team that has created the most outstanding and ground-breaking work over the past 12 months. Cambridge Design Partnership highlighted the diversity of its work through recently launched projects including designing the steering wheel for the Bloodhound Project, the UK’s attempt to build a jet and rocket powered car capable of 1,000 miles per hour and the Tommee Tippee 360 sealer, a next generation nappy disposal system.

The winners of this year’s awards will be announced at a black tie evening ceremony being held in London on Thursday 15th May 2014.
