Innovative technology and design consultancy Cambridge Design Partnership (CDP) welcomes Chris Houghton as Brand Innovation and Packaging leader.

An experienced designer with over 15 years of working with global brands, Chris has a strong background in leading brand packaging, strategic design innovation and front-end research projects. His career has seen him work for a number of leading design consultancies as well as in-house for Reebok and as a freelance designer for Lego.

With broad experience in the consumer product, medical and footwear sectors, his expertise is focused on helping FMCG brands identify new opportunities and deliver successful new products and packaging to market. Over the years, Chris has worked on major projects for clients including Arla, Boots International Healthcare, Danone, Diageo, Heinz, Heston Blumenthal, Marks & Spencer, Mars, Mondeléz International, Nestlé, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble and Unilever.

The company also confirms Stergios Bititsios will head up its Consumer & Technical Insights team. An experienced design strategist and research consultant, Stergios has dedicated his academic and professional career to studying and practicing in-depth analysis of the consumer-product interface from a multidisciplinary perspective, bringing together design, engineering, psychology and sensory science.

Stergios previously worked at MMR Research Worldwide; and before that as a design and consumer researcher at the University of Leeds Faraday Packaging Partnership. His work has seen him collaborate closely with leading global FMCG, retail and packaging companies on research projects, insights consultancy and technology transfer initiatives to support packaging and product innovation.

Now responsible for the growth of the research and insights function within Cambridge Design Partnership, Stergios works closely with Chris and the team of designers, strategists, engineers and usability experts to translate insights into innovation opportunities and strategic product pipelines.
